The sun is showing its face again, and the frost has left us. We are happily stepping into a new spring here at Lawn Clinic and invite you all to do the same with us! Spring is a crucial time of year to knock out any last-minute necessities so your lawn has its best foot forward going into the growing season!
With a few relatively quick and easy steps, we'll help teach you how to set yourself and your lawn up for success.
Clear Debris: Start by clearing up any debris built up from the winter to make sure you're allowing your plants to have room to flourish and rebuild. Sometimes, this is as simple as picking up large items, but a good rake across the lawn certainly helps too.
Aerate the Soil: Once you've got a clean slate to work with, now is the perfect time to clear up some soil compaction and allow air to work its way into the soil with some soil aeration. You can get your hands on tools for it or request our help anytime with either of these!
Apply Fertilizer: Once your lawn is cleaned up and the soil is ready from aeration, you can apply some fertilizer. We suggest using a slow-release fertilizer for the best results. Using an actual spreader is always good to ensure proper and consistent coverage. Follow the fertilizer directions for the initial watering schedule, and then set up a consistent watering routine after the fertilizer has been absorbed.
Now, this all can seem like a lot to get done, but if you follow these steps, you'll ensure you have a beautiful and vibrant landscape to enjoy and impress with going into this new year! We hope you are all as excited as we are over here to get into the warm weather and beautiful sights. We encourage you to reach out to us anytime so we can help make your space beautiful with specialized service!
